Joseph Navin is currently a freelance photojournalist and reporter based in Greensboro, N.C. He graduated from Elon University in May 2024 with a B.A. degree in Journalism and a minor in Political Science.

 

Joseph has freelanced for The Fayetteville Observer, NC Health News, and Aviation Week.

 

He previously worked for two separate tenures as Photo Editor for Elon News Network as well as being a news reporter for over three years. He is was also a News Writer for NASASpaceflight.com. He is also a credentialed member of the National Press Photographers Association. Joseph has a passion for written journalism, photojournalism, photography, politics, international relations, and aerospace.

Some of his work with NASASpaceflight included coverage of Northrop Grumman NG-13 Antares pre-launch activities, launch articles, in-depth interviews with aerospace executives, among other articles

Joseph also covered the Experimental Aircraft Association's 2022 AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wis. in July 2022 for Aviation Week. During this experience he served as a photographer for the team and his responsibilities included creating daily photo galleries of the afternoon airshows, press conferences, and other events.

Joseph is also an active member of the National Press Photographers Association. He attended the 50th Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar in Atlanta, Ga. in 2022.

Joseph began his experience with photography with occasional trips to Washington D.C. from Virginia and trips to the local airport for planespotting. His photography expertise has only grown from then.
