Joseph Navin is currently a senior at Elon University in North Carolina. At Elon, Joseph is majoring in Journalism and minoring in Political Science.

Outside of class, he is currently the Photo Editor and a news writer for Elon News Network. Joseph was previously the Photo Editor for Elon News Network from November 2021 to May 2022, before returning to the role in Jan. 2024. He is also was a News Writer for NASASpaceflight.com. He is also a credentialed member of the National Press Photographers Association and is also a member of the chapter at Elon University. He serves as the Treasurer for the University Chapter.

Joseph has a passion for written journalism, photojournalism, photography, politics, international relations, and aerospace. Joseph is progressing on becoming both a reporter and photojournalist.

Some of his work with NASASpaceflight has included coverage of Northrop Grumman NG-13 Antares pre-launch activities, launch articles, in-depth interviews with aerospace executives, among other articles

Joseph also covered the Experimental Aircraft Association's 2022 AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wis. in July 2022 for Aviation Week. During this experience he served as a photographer for the team and his responsibilities included creating daily photo galleries of the afternoon airshows, press conferences, and other events.

In addition to Elon News Network, Navin also freelances for NC Health News.

Joseph is also an active member of the National Press Photographers Association. He attended the 50th Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar in Atlanta, Ga. in 2022.

He currently spends most of his time on campus at Elon University and at his home in central North Carolina during breaks.

Joseph began his experience with photography with occasional trips to Washington D.C. from Virginia and trips to the local airport for planespotting. His photography expertise has only grown from then.
